farga is a party-games app you play as a group on one phone. It's built to work without collecting personal data. Here's exactly what it saves and where.
who's responsible
farga is run by Ian Poschner, Sidney Schluesche and David Galusinski, based in Barcelona, Spain. You can reach us at fargagames@gmail.com.
what farga collects
Nothing that reaches us. The app has no servers of its own, uses no analytics or crash-reporting tools, shows no ads, doesn't track you across apps or websites and makes no internet connections: every question and card ships inside the app.
what's stored on your phone
So you don't have to start from scratch every time, farga saves the following only in the app's storage on your device:
- The player names you type (up to 16 characters each) and their avatar color.
- Which cards and questions have already come up, so none repeats until you've seen them all.
- Your settings: language, vibration and each game’s settings (for example the wavelength dial range or the quiz categories).
This data never leaves your phone to reach us. You can delete it at any time in settings (“delete saved players” and “reset seen cards”), and all of it is removed when you delete the app. If you use iOS backups (such as iCloud Backup), it may be included in them; those backups are handled by Apple according to your settings.
apple and the app store
farga is distributed through Apple's App Store. When you download it, Apple processes data such as your Apple ID and purchase under its own privacy policy (apple.com/legal/privacy). If you've chosen in iOS settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us aggregated, anonymous statistics and crash reports. We can't identify you from them.
if you email us
The “contact” button opens your mail app. If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them once they're no longer needed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
this website
farga.app uses no cookies, analytics or ads. It only saves the language you pick in the switcher, in your browser. The site is hosted by Vercel, which, like any web server, processes your IP address and technical connection data to deliver the page and protect it from abuse.
TODO: confirm Vercel's server log retention period and, if needed, sign their data processing agreement (DPA).
children
farga isn't aimed at children under 16. Since the app collects no personal data, it doesn't collect children's data either.
your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Since we don't hold any of your data (except your email if you write to us), you can exercise these rights by writing to fargagames@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, aepd.es) or the data protection authority in your country.
changes
If we change how the app handles your data, we'll update this page and the date above. If the app ever started collecting data, we'd tell you in the app first.
